Woohoo! Good news for all animal lovers!!!
This is brief update about 450 dogs from SASHA'S NO KILL, CAGE-FREE SHELTER from his sponsor Harmony Fund:
The massive international campaign to save Sasha's dogs was successful. The mayor made a visit to the shelter in Nis and confirmed that the immediate round up of the dogs is now halted. The dogs will be moved next year, hopefully under terms which are fair and in the best interest of dogs.
Sasha's sanctuary is a place of love like none other. The dogs can run, play, and nap in the sun throughout the day. At night, they sleep in straw-lined beds in a stable. That is why we simply can't let them lose their HOME.
The dogs must be relocated in about 6 months and we must work together to make sure that a new haven is ready for them. We're asking the city to donate a new piece of land to become the PERMANENT dog's sanctuary and we need your help to raise the money to build the dog's shelter on that property. After all, this dog sanctuary should be a model for others around the world. The dogs don't suffer in tiny kennels. They live, really LIVE here, and not a day goes by when they don't feel loved.

That's the most amazing picture I've ever seen! And the news are unbelievable! In an ocean of constant bad news, this is certainly a blast of good news, a relief for the hearts of those who really, really care!
ReplyDeleteMy Christmas just became a whole lot better! Wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see this picture in Christmas day!
ReplyDeleteThe animals deserve respect, chance to live, love, careful, feed, water, bed to sleep in peace and security
ReplyDeleteFor God's sake, do not torture, do not abuse, do not cause them to suffer, they do not deserve.
Most news we see is negative but positive things happening too. Even in Serbia!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comments ♥
This would make an excellent weekly television series for Animal Planet or some other network. The commercial potential is excellent. I am sure that enough excitement happens at Sasha's Place every day. There must be dog food manufacturers who would sponsor such a presentation. What a wonderful way to elicit support and exposure. Someone reading this has some knowledge or connection or knows someone who does.
